Ashfield BNP election candidate has blood covered effigy sent to him

Election fever hits Angels With Grumpy Faces today, as we start a series (this is likely to prove untrue under historical examination) of posts highlighting the fact that politics isn't all fun and games. There is some very serious business discussed over expense lunches and civic do's.

*editorial comment*

This man is not an angel. He is an arse, and I find his political views abhorrent.

Now that's cleared up, hahahahaha.

I bet you cannot coherently explain your vicious hatred of the BNP. You are a brainwashed idiot with a Pavlovian conditioned response.

Laughing when people are sent death threats. I think you would laugh if he was physically hurt or even killed as well. You are pure filth.

Poor, wrong Anonymous, who fails to notice the irony of his own barbed comments.

Oooh the "Silent Majority" strikes! Nice enough to put your name :)

Anonymous BNP sympathisers. Clearly the BNP is not, and has never been associated with violence and/or bigotry. And, of course, its members are clearly well educated and right smart. And there wouldnt ever be any (alleged) death threats amongst the very reasonable heirarchy. http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2010/apr/04/bnp-mark-collett-nick-griffin

The irony of the use of 'Pavlovian response' by someone posting a standard BNP denigration of 'non-believers', mere minutes after the article first appearing, is quite spectacular.

"the low life thugs who are carrying out these acts of intimidation will not prevail."

Is it possible for this sentence to be anymore ironic?

I can explain my dislike of the BNP quite well actually. They're lead by a person who looks like his face is melting, and they peddle hate and bigotry. It's mainly the former I object to though.

John Rooney (as I can't retrieve my google account from here right now).

Well done Beardy - you riled at least two people :)

I love Pavlovas myself. Strawberry ones are my favourite.

I wonder why people have Google Alerts for the term "BNP"? What could possibly be their motivation?
